I learned this the hard way.
When I first started my business, I thought doing everything myself was what it meant to be a successful business owner.
I was up at 5 AM and still working at 8 PM, spending 15 hours a day trying to keep everything moving.
I answered every email. Managed every calendar. Organized every file. Followed up with clients. Handled the little things that seemed too small to delegate.
And somehow, at the end of the day, I still felt like I hadn’t done enough.
The problem wasn’t that I wasn’t working hard enough.
I was spending too much of my time working on the business instead of working on what would actually grow it.
Eventually, the constant busyness caught up with me. I was burning out, losing focus, and realizing that building a business shouldn’t mean sacrificing all of my time just to keep it running.
That’s when I learned something every business owner eventually has to learn:
You don’t have to do everything yourself.
Your time is better spent on your clients, your ideas, your growth, and the things only you can do.
